چکیده
Opinion dynamics, aiming at describing the evolution of opinions among large populations with social influence, have been widely inspected and a host of models have been reported. However, most of them are considered on cooperative networks which is not the common case because there exist not only cooperative but also antagonistic or competitive relations, e.g., competition between commercial, political, sports and social groups, which leads to persistent disagreement or clustering of opinions [1]. Modulus consensus, consisting of consensus, polarization and neutralization, is a general notion for opinion separation and the main concern of this topic. We are aiming at design a protocol to achieve modulus consensus for discrete-time opinion dynamics on social networks described by signed graphs. For the three facets of this topics, i.e., opinion dynamics, interaction topology and protocol, we consider homogeneous and heterogeneous models, fixed and time-varying graphs [2], and static and dynamic protocols, respectively. And the tasks are as follows.

Fluctuations and Disagreement in Social Networks
We study a stochastic gossip model of continuous opinion dynamics in a society consisting of two types of agents: regular agents, who update their beliefs according to information that they receive from their social neighbors; and stubborn agents, who never update their opinions and might represent leaders, political parties or media sources attempting to influence the beliefs in the rest of th...

متن کاملDiscrete-Time Polar Opinion Dynamics with Susceptibility
This paper considers a discrete-time opinion dynamics model in which each individual’s susceptibility to being influenced by others is dependent on her current opinion. We assume that the social network has time-varying topology and that the opinions are scalars on a continuous interval. We first propose a general opinion dynamics model based on the DeGroot model, with a general function to des...
متن کاملOpinion dynamics in social networks with stubborn agents: an issue-based perspective
Classic models on opinion dynamics usually focus on a group of agents forming their opinions interactively over a single issue. Yet generally agreement can not be achieved over a single issue when agents are not completely open to interpersonal influence. In this paper, opinion formation in social networks with stubborn agents is considered over issue sequences. The social network with stubborn...
